COVID-19 – CORONAVIRUS Your safety, that of your crew and of our personnel is our top priority. If you and your crew are members of the same household or support bubble and your booking satisfies the requirements of our Standard Terms and Conditions of Hire then you can go out on one boat. If the crew is made up of members of two households or two support bubbles then you will need two boats in order to comply with the government’s guidelines on social distancing. BOOKING AND PAYMENT The booking was made by you and accepted by us subject to our Standard Terms and Conditions of Hire. On arrival, you will be required to provide a credit card to cover the “Damages Deposit” which is required prior to the handover of the Vessel. The “Damages Deposit” will be returned once the Vessel has been returned in satisfactory condition subject to our Standard Terms and Conditions of Hire.
CANCELLATION Please notify us as soon as possible by PHONE CALL on +44(0)7711 177124 if you have to cancel your booking. Only if we are able to re-hire for your Hire Date and Time will a refund will be given.
FAILURE TO ARRIVE OR LATE ARRIVAL If you fail to arrive for your Hire you will forfeit your Payment. If you arrive late for your Hire (even if it is not your fault) you will still be charged for the period of the Hire and at busy times it is unlikely that we will be able to extend your Hire as the boat may be booked out directly after. We will always do our very best to accommodate a change in times etc. but please call us ASAP to help us make it possible.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PERSONS AND WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS Please note that the motor boats and sail boats are individually licensed for a maximum number of persons (children are people too) with a corresponding maximum specified weight limit as outlined on our Vessel details page.

WEATHER Dittisham Boat Hire will determine if the the hire cannot go ahead due to weather conditions. All cancellations due to bad weather as confirmed by Dittisham Boat Hire are non-chargeable.
ARRIVAL TIME Please be sure to arrive in advance of your booked hire start time. Please leave plenty of time to find us.
LOCATION We are located on the Pontoon in the village of Dittisham on the River Dart, just a few miles up from Dartmouth. The office boat is moored up on the right hand side as you come onto the pontoon. If you are using SatNav the postcode to use is TQ6 OHS. This will take you to the pay and display car park in the village as there is no parking at the pontoon. Full details on how to find us can be viewed HERE.
There are two car parking areas, The Level and The Ham. RinGo can be used to make payment. Machines are coin only and do not give change. Charges apply all days of the year including weekends and holidays. Charges for 2021 are £2 for 2 hours, £3 for 3 hours and £5 all day (09:00 to 18:00).
WHERE TO GO There are lots of places to go in the river (Please note boats are only coded for use within the River). You will be given a full briefing and on board will be a nautical chart. WHAT TO BRING Please remember to bring drinking water, sun protection and warm clothing if the weather is a little cooler.
